Toni Bonilla-Barnes, Legal Assistant

Ms. Bonilla knows how to organize the most complex of cases. She has managed massive electronic discovery cases with millions of documents exchanged. She has controlled and organized such a morass of photographs that but for her control and organization they would be hopeless. Usually opposing counsel tries to rely on her organization. She is astute in locating minute details that can be dispositive but that at first sight can appear inconsequential.

Ms. Bonilla has been to trial often enough that she understands all of the components of trial and pretrial. She usually understands the facts as well as the clients and the law as well as the lawyers. She understands scheduling, pretrial discovery, and motion practice and how they fit into trial preparation. She is responsible for docketing, document control and filing.

Ms. Bonilla is skilled at organizing data through various databases. In addition to database, and routine office software, Ms. Bonilla is proficient with Lexis and Adobe products.

Ms. Bonilla earned a B.A. in 2000 from the University of Texas at Arlington with double majors in criminal justice and criminology. She is just two courses short of a master’s degree in the same fields.
